My skin is going bad :(

Well, I have to say the weather in Hong Kong has been stressing my skin a little but I don't think is the only the thing that been causing my skin bumpy all over. I believe is the new product I been using, so the only solution to this issue is stop using all the product and let my skin rest and see what happen. I hope it will be better soon, it is not making me very happy at all. I just got my skin all healthy again from the I been using, i recently finish the dr james clinic serum which was pretty awesome on my skin, it absorb quickly into my skin and change the tone and texture, that made me really happy. It made me look so muh better when i put on my makeup. Oh well, I had to finish other products that I had left didnt want to waste it, but i guess it was a bad idea. Now I have to start all over with my skin healthiness!!

This is some great stuff for my skin!!!
I wish I can find something like this in the market that can compare to this serum! >_<
I know it seems like I'm promoting this but I'm not, it is some good stuff.

Another serum I think it's great this is before i found the Dr James Clinic Serum, is Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum. This stuff works on dark spots and even the tone!! Love it!!

That's all the serum I had liked in my past years..I probably want to
try the Philosophy Hope in a Jar, heard its a good serum might need to try it first and see what it will happen hope it will be good or at least doesn't worsen my skin. :p

The cause of dry skin!

These are some common cause for dry skin:

If you deal with dry skin on a regular basis, just like me, you might think it's a problem. If that's the case, you're wrong!  This is teh easiest skin care sins to fix. No matter the season or the location, there are easy things that you can change in your daily routine that will make a big difference to a helathy skin.

Follow these 5 dry skin remedies and see how quickly your skin makes a turn-around.

1. Watch the Temperature of the Water
If you're anything like me, you love a hot, hot bath. While it may feel relaxing, it's no good for your skin. Hot water will strip the moisture and oils out of your skin, leaving it parched, dry and scaly.
As hard is it may be, use warm water instead of hot water, and limit your bath to 15 minutes at the most. Showers, even less. You shouldn't have to wipe the steam off of the mirror when you step out. You'll notice that your skin is less dry if you play it safe and watch the time and temperature.
And as a side note, that hot water is going to make your hair frizzy and dry. It's best to rinse your hair in cool water.

2. Skip the Bubbles
Who doesn't love a bubble bath? It's something that most of us have grown up with, and many of us carry it on into adulthood. But, did you know that many of the bubbles you put in your bath will strip the oils off from your skin.
Instead of using a bubble bath, find a soothing oatmeal or milk powder that will enhance your bath experience, and leave the oils where they belong. Another product you could try is a bath oil. A cap full of oil will leave your skin even more hydrated than before, so you may be able to skip the moisturizer.

3. Skip the Shaving Mistakes
You probably have heard the age-old advice to shave in the direction of your hair growth for safe shaving. And while that's a nice thought, realistically most people shave in the opposite direction of hair growth to get the closest results.
If you want the safest shave, go with your hair growth. If you just can't follow that rule, make sure you follow these shaving tips:
Use a moisturizing shaving gel or cream.
Look for a product that offers moisturizing components such as aloe and essential oils.
Skip the ones that have alcohol listed in their top few ingredients.
You can always use hair conditioner in a pinch for a close, nick-free shave.

4. Pat Dry, Don't Rub Dry
When you get out of the shower and grab your towel, gently pat the water off of your skin instead of rubbing your skin dry. This will save your skin the misery of "towel abuse" most men (and some women) hibitually inflict on their skin.
By patting dry (or gently rubbing), your skin will be able to retain more of the moisture you're going to seal in with our next step: body moisturizer.

5. Never Ever Skip the Moisturizer
The very most important step to remember is to moisturize every single time you get out of the shower or bath. It is never OK to skip, so find a favorite lotion, butter or oil and keep it in your bathroom.
When you skin has been dried off, it's important to seal in the moisture from the shower, and the quicker you do this after your shower, the better your skin will look and feel. And if you moisturizer of choice is a body oil, it's actually best to apply it to damp skin. Make sure you are careful for drops that might spill, oil will make your tub or floor very slippery.

Nut of the week that has great moisturizing benefits for skin and hair

This week I will be discussing about one of the nuts that we have as an ingredient on our Sun Protection Formula Lip Balm is called Jojoba oil.

What beneficial factors of this ingredient so important?

Well, Jojoba oil is extracted from seeds of the jojoba plant, scientifically known as Simmondsia chinensis, which are indigenous to southern United States and northern Mexico. Pure jojoba oil has a bright, golden color whereas processed jojoba oil is clear and transparent.  It has a high shelf life and can be stored for long periods as it is a relatively stable liquid. It does not oxidize easily and will not turn rancid compared to other oils because it does not contain triglycerides, unlike most other vegetable oils such as grape seed oil and coconut oil.

Jojoba oil is non-toxic, non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic. This means that it will not clog pores and will not cause any allergic reactions. It is also not an irritant, so it can safely be used around the eyes  and on the skin. In addition to that, it does not cause a greasy feeling when used on the skin like other oils do.

Which topically used to treat acne, scaly skin disorder, chapped skin and sunburn.
Usually you can find jojoba in lotions, shampoo, body oils, and makeup

The waxy cuticle is the basis of non-occlusive moisture control in most plants. Its array of epicuticular wax esters is very similar to jojoba wax esters. The stratum corneum is the basis of non-occlusive moisture control in people. Its array of epidermal wax esters is very similar to jojoba wax esters.

What makes it so unique compared to other seed oils is that jojoba oil is structurally and chemically very similar to the human sebum produced by the sebaceous glands in our skin because sebum is also largely comprised of wax mono esters. In most cases, it can act as a substitute while giving similar or added benefits compared to sebum.

Jojoba is likely safe to use durning pregancy and lactation, but may cause reastions in hypersensitive individuals.

It contains healthy fatty acids, Vitamin An and E, amino acids, and natural preservatives. Vitamin E is well known for promoting healthy and clear skin. Jojoba oil is an antioxidant and protects you from the damaging effects of free radicals, which is believed to contribute or cause various chronic diseases like cancer. In fact, it can also be antibacterial useage, to protect, kill and stop the reproduction of Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans when they come in contact with jojoba oil.

 Benifits of Jojoba Oil:
    *  Provides all day moisturization it doesn’t evaporate like water based moisturizers can.
    * It is theorized, but not yet proven, that because jojoba oil is so similar to human skin oil, it can "trick" the skin into thinking it has produced enough oil and thus balance oil production.
    * Very stable, does not become rancid or lose antioxidants even after long periods of storage.
    * Spreads well and absorbs well.

5 Beauty Tips For Every Women

Although look may be only one part of who we are and the feeling of looking your best can be a real confidence booster, but looking your best doesn't have to be complicated or expensive.

So I have some few basic tips that really work for everyone, you should try these steps:

Beauty Tip #1: Moisturizing

Whether if you have dry, normal, or oily, best spent money on beauty product will be moisturizer. The best way to take care of your skin is simply a good moisturizer and a mild cleanser for your face. When your skin is dry up it can cause accentuated wrinkle, making you look older. If you're in your 20s or 30s, moisturizers will give you some of the protection you need to keep skin from prematurely aging. Is the best product that really beneficial and well spent in all types of products in the market.

So what exactly is a "good" moisturizer?

A product that will do anything from gently adding moisture. To sealing in the moisture you've achieved, to helping your skin produce more moisture. This depends on your skin's individual needs.

If skin is normal to dry, look for moisturizers containing alpha hydroxy acids. They can help skin produce more moisture on its own.

If skin is very dry, the best moisturizer will need to have vesicular emulsion. This technology uses microscopic spheres that are alternating layers of moisture and water that slowly release throughout the day, so you get continual moisturization.

If skin is oily, look for a light, gentle moisturizer, but don't skip this step, just because your skin is oily. Oil does not mean moisture, and even if you have excess oil you still need moisturizer.

Beauty Tip #2: Sunscreen Protection

Before you go out to see a doctor or spending excessive amount of money on anti-aging products, protect your skin first.

While everyone knows that UV can cause skin and lip cancer, did you know the best way to protect yourself, the amazing beauty secret that can help you looking young and healthy, is using sunscreen protection in your moisturizer and lip balm.

Sunscreen blocks out the sun's damaging rays, it also blocks their aging effects.
The sun impacts collagen production in the skin, and without collagen, skin won't naturally maintain that plump, moist, youthful, wrinkle-free look. So being out in the sun exposure everyday our skin will wrinkle long before its time.

Without the protection of sunscreen, just a few minutes of daily sun exposure over the years can cause noticeable changes in how skin looks and feels.
Not only will you see more wrinkles and fine lines, but also more freckles, age spots, and spider veins. Skin itself can look rough, leathery or loose and slack, thanks to the sun.
Sunscreen can protect your skin from these damaging rays, so that even if you do spend time outdoors, your face is less likely to give away your age.

Choosing a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher will be the best to help break down the sun effectiveness over time, if you're going to be in direct sunlight for an extended period, reapply every two or three hours.
The best suggestion I believe is use your regular sunscreen before putting on makeup (it should go on first, before anything). Then, for touch-ups, use a light, translucent mineral powder to add extra protection throughout the day.

Lastly, protecting your lips, not everyone remember to protect their delicate lips because we do not notice how important it is. Lips are very thin and fragile part of the face, easily to get burn, yet many people do not think of protecting them from the sun. If you replace your regular lip balm with sun safe lip balm, you can play in the sun without worrying about peeling, drying and wrinkling up.

Beauty Tip #3: Cleanser

If you're a "soap and water" person, rethink again on your cleansing strategy. The best beauty tips around is to use the gentlest cleanser you can find.
While the temptation may be great to wash your face several times a day (or more if skin is oily), not only will over-cleansing not help you, if you're using a harsh product like soap, you could be harming your skin.

Washing your face too often (more than twice a day) can damage the natural lipid barrier, the protective mantle of lubrication that keeps skin looking and feeling healthy.Once that protection is lost, and the integrity of the skin barrier disrupted, skin becomes dry - which means it can crack, peel, itch, burn, sting, or any combination. It also means you can look older than your years.

The best solution is to wash skin no more than twice a day and choose your cleanser wisely.

Beauty Tip #4: Using the Right Tools for the Right Job

Although we may spend excessive amount of money on the best eyeshadow, foundation and a bronzer. If you do not have the right tools to apply them, their benefits will be lost.
Brushes should be soft and feel gentle on the skin, but also have substance so the product can be moved to the surface of your skin. If you dip a brush in a shadow or blush and the color falls off before you make it to your face, that's a bad brush.

So spending on some good quality makeup brushes are important and remember does not matter the cost of the tool, find a soft texture brushes that will not harm or damage the skin surface. We should all know our face can be easily damage from harsh materials.

Beauty Tip #5: Update Your Hair and Makeup Every 2 Years or Less

Ideally, your image, including hair and makeup, should be updated at least every two years and sooner if the styles change dramatically. If you cannot even remember the last time you changed your hair and makeup, its way overdue.

I advice everyone to be up to date on the styles and trends. Not only in beauty supplies, but showing off all your healthy protective skin, makeup and style can make you outstanding than everyone else. By keeping your looks and style up to date help boost your confident, looking younger and more modern.
