The Beneficial Facts About Raspberry

Raspberries: This food is very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. It is also a good source of Vitamin K and Magnesium, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin C and Manganese.

Benefits:
Contain potential anti-cancer agent ellagic acid. Have significant amounts of polyphenol antioxidants such as anthocyanin pigments which linked to potential health protection against several human diseases.
Raspberries rank near the top of all fruits for antioxidant strength, particularly due to their dense contents of ellagic acid, quercetin, gallic acid, anthocyanins, cyanidins, pelargonidins, catechins, kaempferol and salicylic acid. Yellow raspberries and others with pale-colored fruits are lower in anthocyanins.
Raspberries help prevent unwanted damage to cell membranes and other structures in the body by neutralizing free radicals.

Raspberries possess almost 50% higher antioxidant activity than strawberries, three times that of kiwis, and ten times the antioxidant activity of tomatoes.

Fruits per day may lower your risk of age-related macular degeneration (ARMD) and vision loss in older adults.
Research has show over 110,000 men and women that were evaluated the effects of consumption of fruits, vegetables, antioxidant vitamins A, C, E ad carotenoids. intakes of vegetables, antioxidant vitamins and carotenoids were not strongly related to incidence of either form of ARMD, fruit intake was definitely protective against the severe form of this vision-destroying disease.
