Daily Activities that can burn kcal!

Well, I have been gaining a little bit of weight and I want to shed off some pounds, in a healthier way. Does not need to cut down extremely from eating or add more exercise into what you have now. So, little facts on some regular activities you can do in our regular basis that can help us maintain a healthy weight and losing some kcal at the same time.

Activities you do on regular basis that can burn kcal, using my weight 110 lb for 60 mins duration, will be burnt:

Driving vehicle to work -100

Sitting: light office work, meeting -75

Standing: filing, light work -115

Typing: Computer, electric or manual -75

Riding in a bus or vehicle to work -50

Walking: work break -175

Child-care: bathing, feeding, etc. -150

Cleaning House: general -150

Cleaning: light dusting, straightening up, taking out trash, etc... -125

Food Shopping: with or without cart -115

Child games: moderate, hop-scotch, jacks, etc... -200

Heavy Cleaning: wash car, windows -150

Ironing -115

Cooking / Food Preparation -100

Making Bed -100

Playing w/kids: moderate effort -200

Reading: sitting -50

Vacuuming -175

standing in line -60

sleeping -45

watching tv -50

These are some of the activities that can burn some kcal, not a lot people realize that doing some of these regular basis activites can help loss some weight. Besides eating right and exercise, regular activites can help sheds of some kcal.

Remember, there are no fast fixes. Even the promised quick fixes end up being temporary. Plan on slow and steady progression, and prepare for setbacks and even frustration. Rewards come with time and consistency.
